On assignment

16 12 2011

Just prepping for a job I’ve got in North Japan; shooting with an NPO that I’ve been working with most of this year. Getting on the Shinkansen tomorrow, up to Sendai & then hopefully taking a bus to Minami Sanriku. Here’s what I’m looking at stuffing into a LowePro Trekker bag, and an old canvas lighting bag:

Nikon D300, D1x, chargers for, spare batteries for. HP Notebook & AC adapter. Card reader & 3 CF cards.

Tokina 10-17mm, Nikon 35mm F1.4, Sigma 85mm F1.4, Tokina 80-200mm F2.8, Tokina 300mm F4.

2x Metz 40MZ2, 1 Nikon SB-26. 2 battery chargers, 4 sets of rechargeable batteries. 1 Radio Flash trigger, 1 optical slave, Nikon SC-17 cable, Stofen Diffuser. Cable release, and radio trigger cable.

Manfrotto 190 Tripod/029 Head, 2 cheap old lighting stands, 2 white brollies, a 28″ softbox, ManfrottoSuper Clamp, ball& socket head. & a folding white/silver reflector.

Chances are, as always, I’ll end up using 10% of it – but nipping out to the local camera store isn’t really an option so you just have to take the kitchen sink…..

It’s also forecast to be close to freezing which of course will make it extra fun!
